Welcome to Kapunda Business Alliance where we showcase our fantastic resources, attractions and businesses. Kapunda is a one-hour drive from Adelaide and is a great place to visit, live or work. Hospital, Schools, Medical Centres, Supermarket, History, Copper Mine, Industry, Agriculture, best Folk Museum in Australia, and great people!
See our History page for more about this fabulous mining town that saved the State of South Australia from financial ruin!
New Foodland Supermarket under way!
Site works have now commenced, and engineering and prefabrication work has happened off site at Ahrens. KBA believes the new Supermarket will be an excellent addition to Kapunda and hopefully will encourage more people to shop in the town, to the benefit of other businesses. It is expected that it will also employ more people than the current supermarket. It has been a long time coming, but will be worth the wait.

Council Mural Now Installed
The mural on the Kapunda Council Office is now installed and looks great.
This is totally different from other murals.
It is a photo montage of articles and photos that capture a snapshot of life in the area over the last 180 years or so.
This is not a mural to glance at from a distance but one that rewards close study. We congratulate local Graphic Artist Laura Gully (Graphix SA) on the excellent job she did creating it – a mammoth task, requiring the location, reproduction and obtaining of permissions for a huge number of items. The mural is printed on vinyl sheet attached to an aluminium laminate substrate and has a ten year guarantee (i.e. no noticeable fading in ten years) and an anti-graffiti coating.
